Dr. Monica Cardella has written prolifically on the following topics: engineering design, mathematical thinking, informal learning environments, and assessment.

Dr. Cardella has been published in the Journal of Engineering Education (JEE), Journal for Precollege Engineeing Education Research (JPEER), International Journal of Engineering Education (IJEE), Design Studies, and the Journal for Teaching Mathematics and it’s Applications.

In addition, Dr. Cardella regularly participates and presents research at conferences for organizations such as: ASEE, FIE, AERA, NARST, REES, ICLS, ICTMA, P12 Engineering Design and Research Summit, Design Thinking Research Symposium, MUDD Design Workshops, and the Institute for Industrial Engineering.
